Natural Gas (aka CNG or LNG) is a fossil fuel substitute for gasoline, diesel, or propane. It’s combustion does produce greenhouse gasses but in a much smaller amount than its alternatives and therefore considered more environmentally friendly alternative. Natural Gas can be used in almost all internal combustion engines that were converted to accomodate for it. Currently it is estimated that a large number of internal combustion engine vehicles are being produced every year, about 20-30% of the total, and the percentage of Natural Gas able vehicles is growing rapidly. The most well known forms of Natural Gas is Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquid Natural Gas (LNG).
